Build steps

  1. Take the old back end wall off the greenhouse: unscrew it, keep the plywood for the new back end, and cut the film at the end hoop.
  2. Screw the two 2x6 rails to the ends of the old rails with a 12 in cleat, and the new back cross piece between them.
  3. Bend a 16 ft cattle panel to the same span as the others and screw its feet to the rails. Wire it to the old end hoop.
  4. Screw the two back plywood pieces to the new hoop and the base, with the vent from the old end re-cut.
  5. Splice the film with a 24 in overlap, or buy a new piece, and fasten it down.
