Build steps

Cut the 8 legs, the floor rims and joists for both tiers, and the plywood and 2x2 parts from the cutting diagram.
Build the lower floor frame at 22.5 in, a rim front and back and a joist at each divider line, and screw the legs to the outside of the rims, with the legs running to the upper floor.
Staple the hardware cloth floor over the lower frame every 2 in, and screw the 2x2 uprights, rails, plywood sides, dividers, back and doors on, as for the single-tier hutch.
Build the upper floor frame at 52.5 in on the same legs. Slide a plywood dropping tray under each upper compartment, resting on a 1x2 cleat each side.
Build the upper tier the same way, with the roof deck and the metal panels on top, lapping one rib.
Hang the doors on strap hinges with hasps, sand every edge, and set the hutch on level ground in shade with the doors facing away from the weather.

Before you start

Six compartments of 36 x 30 in, 7.5 sq ft each, in two rows of three. The upper row is at 56 in: put the does there, so you reach in at chest height.
The droppings tray catches what falls from the upper floor, so it does not fall on the lower rabbit. Clean it every week: ammonia hurts a rabbit's lungs.
The lower tier is shaded by the upper one, and often 5°F cooler. In a hot climate, put the fastest-growing rabbits on the bottom.
A hutch this tall catches wind. Screw the legs to concrete blocks or stake them to the ground in an open site.
