Build steps

  1. Mark the ledger line on the shelter wall 70 in up and screw the 2x6 ledger through the siding into the shelter's posts and girts with 4 in screws.
  2. Dig two 18 in post holes 48 in out from the wall, set the 4x4 posts plumb in gravel and screw the two beam boards to both sides of the post tops.
  3. Cut 5 rafters at 14.0° plumb cuts, and set them on the ledger and the beam.
  4. Screw on the roof deck, then 5 metal panels, lapping one rib.
  5. Screw the plywood sides to the posts and ledger, leaving the front open.
