Build steps
Mark the 32 ft square with string and drive a T-post at each corner and each panel joint: eight in all, 24 in into the ground.
Stand the panels against the posts, with the joint on a post, and wire each panel to its post top and middle with tie wire.
Hang one panel as a gate, on two strap hinges on a post, with a chain or a latch on the other end.
Check that the bottom of the panels is 4 in off the ground for small animals, or clip hog panel to the bottom.
Add a hot wire at the top for goats.
Before you start
A 32 ft paddock holds 1,024 sq ft: a pen for a few calves or goats. Cattle panels are strong and last 20 years.
Panels are heavy at 55 lb each. Use two people, and wear gloves: the cut ends are sharp.
Goats climb panels with 6 in squares. Add 2 x 4 in woven wire to the bottom 3 ft for kids.
