Build steps

Build the base from pressure-treated 2x4s on edge on a pad of gravel or pavers. Check square by measuring both diagonals.
Screw the floor slats across the base 1 in apart, so air gets under the pile.
Set the 4x4 posts on the base and screw them to it with two 4 in screws each way. Stand them plumb and brace them until the beams are on.
Screw the two front beam boards and the two back beam boards together on edge across the post tops.
Cut the 6 rafters with plumb cuts at 6.6° and set them on the beams with hurricane ties or toe-screws.
Screw on the roof deck and the 5 metal panels, lapping one rib.
Screw the slats across the back and both sides, 1 in apart, flat against the posts.
Face the open front away from the prevailing wind and stack the wood bark side up, 4 ft high, with space at the back.

Before you start

Holds one cord of wood at 133 cu ft inside. A face cord is a third of that: 4 x 8 x 16 in.
Open slats on the back and sides, and a gap under the pile, dry the wood faster than a closed shed.
Keep the pile at least 20 ft from the house, and stack the wood off the ground.
Check local rules before you build. Some places need a permit above 100 sq ft.
